Egypt, World Bank advance infrastructure financing

Egypt and the World Bank are finalizing a mechanism to attract private-sector investment into infrastructure projects by providing long-term financing solutions in local currency and reducing investment risks, according to Egypt’s Planning and Economic Development Ministry. Minister Ahmed Rostom discussed the Infrastructure Financing Guarantee Facility (IFGF) with senior officials from the World Bank Group and other international institutions. Egypt, AUC launch climate, water training for Africa
